OSSIAN (KWWL) -

A Mexican man faces immigration violation after trying to get his kids back.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's office says Teodoro Candido was originally deported in 2012 after domestic abuse charges red flagged his illegal status.

But authorities believe he came back after his wife, Holly Yonkovic, and another possible illegal immigrant, Ramon Perez, were arrested in August for sexually abuse case.

Perez, who also went by Rodrigo Estrada, is accused of sexually abusing four children.

Yonkovic faces charges for child endangerment and tampering with a witness.

The maternal father, Teodoro Candido, is in immigration custody.
