Winthrop woman convicted of child endangerment

INDEPENDENCE (AP) -

A 51-year-old eastern Iowa woman has been convicted of child endangerment.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier says (http://bit.ly/15E7mwR ) Wendy Brown, of Winthrop, was convicted Monday after a four-day trial in Buchanan County District Court.

Authorities say Brown deprived a child of food, clothing, shelter, health care or supervision, harming the child's mental, emotional or physical health. The abuse took place between Jan. 1 and March 25, 2012.

Brown faces up to two years in prison.
