OTTUMWA (AP) -

An Ottumwa man has been accused of kidnapping a woman and holding her against her will for more than two weeks.

Court records show an arrest warrant was served Friday to 33-year-old Adem Geleto Anota.

Ottumwa police say they received a report Thursday from a woman who claimed to have been confined against her will between Sept. 24 and Oct. 9. She told authorities she was sexually assaulted during that time.

The Ottumwa Courier reports (http://bit.ly/18iyp1L ) Anota has been charged with first-degree kidnapping and ordered to stay away from the woman. He has pleaded not guilty. Court records do not list an attorney.
