Posted: Updated:

A fashion show will take place on Thursday, Oct. 17, to benefit The Larrabee Center, Inc., a non-profit agency dedicated to helping people with disabilities.

The 10th annual fashion show will take place at Trinkets & Togs Thrift Store in Waverly at 6:30 p.m.

Clients, staff and families from The Larrabee Center will model during the fashion show and local judges will be on hand to judge the models in the following categories: Best Fashion, Best Runway Walk, Best Smile, and Most Fun Fashion.

“Community integration is important for people with disabilities, and the fashion show is a wonderful opportunity for our staff, families and clients to model and celebrate their successes with the general public,” Lori Shepherd, Retail Services Manager, said in a press release. “With education, the general public is becoming more aware of the positive affect that people with disabilities bring to a community. We at The Larrabee Center feel blessed to have such an amazing group of people to work with on a daily basis.”

The event is free of charge.
