UNI's chance to knock off top-ranked North Dakota State in Fargo came up just short 24-23.
Early in the game the panthers were off to a great start. On the opening kickoff UNI's Blake White would force a fumble. The panthers offense would stall after three plays but they were able to convert on the 37 yard field by Tyler Sievertsen.
Sawyer Kollmorgen would then find Kevin Vereen, good for 33 yards, that set up another Sievertsen field goal, this one from 50 yards UNI is up 6-0 at the end of the first quarter.
Early in the second quarter North Dakota State would put points on the board when quarterback Brock Jensen found Carey Woods from 23 yards to make it 13-7.
Late in the fourth quarter NDSU had a chance to take the lead, Same Ojuri rushed for 19 yards for a touchdown and Adam Keller's kick would be good. UNI would fall to NDSU by the score of 24-23.
