Iowa State forward Melvin Ejim has been named to the preseason All-Big 12 Team.
Ejim was one of six players chosen for the honor in a vote of the league's coaches.
Ejim led the Big 12 with 9.3 rebounds per game and 15 double-doubles last season. He also averaged 11.3 points and shot just over 50 percent from the field.
Oklahoma State's Marcus Smart is the league's preseason Player of the Year.
Smart and Cowboys teammate Markel Brown join Baylor's Isaiah Austin and Cory Jefferson and incoming Kansas freshman Andrew Wiggins on the team.
