WATERLOO (KWWL) -
Tonight Waterloo showcased new development in the downtown.
Known as the Tour de’Loo, the event highlighted new business and remodeling projects, among other things.
There were also boat rides on the Cedar River for residents to view riverfront development.
Organizers said it shows how far the area has come.
“We're all about showcasing progress and showcasing new things,” said Jeff Kurtz of Main Street Waterloo, the group that organized the Tour. “Downtown Waterloo is definitely a work in progress. It has come a long way, and we're very proud of that. But there are new things happening all the time and we want to keep paying attention to all the things that are happening."
Main Street Waterloo said nearly 300 people attended.
