ISU vs Texas Preview: Rhoads defends Brown

Posted: Updated:
AMES (KWWL) -

The Iowa State Cyclones open Big 12 Conference play tomorrow night against a Texas Longhorn program under great public scrutiny.

Texas head coach Mack Brown has been on the hot seat--since leading the Horns to the BCS championship game after the 2009 season.

Texas has struggled since then---and the Horns are off to a sluggish 2-2 start this season which includes a couple of blowout losses to BYU and Ole Miss.

In the BYU game-- the Longhorns gave up an absurd 550 yards rushing.

Now many --even one of the greatest players in Texas history--Earl Campbell is publicly calling for a change in Austin.

But Mack Brown isn't backing down.
