DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Gov. Terry Branstad and Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds were in Dubuque Friday afternoon presenting one area care facility with a prestigious award.

Stonehill Franciscan Services, a Catholic, not-for-profit care community, won the 2013 Governor's Award for Quality Care in Health Facilities.

Branstad cited Stonehill's brand-new wellness center.

"We want to be the healthiest state in the nation, and obviously they've made a real difference in the lives of older people here in Dubuque that can come and exercise here and improve their health and well-being," Branstad said. "It's just a wonderful, caring community."

Already this year, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services gave Stonehill Franciscan Services a five-star rating for staffing and quality measure, and the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism named Stonehill the 2013 Business of the Year.
