CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -
The Cedar Valley is hosting their third annual Oktoberfest this weekend.
The festival is at Gateway Park in Cedar Falls, and features many things you would expect at Oktoberfest, including grilled food, live music, dancing, and even a Beirgarten.
There are also inflatable bouncy houses, yard games and other activities for kids.
Organizers said it’s a great way to celebrate and have some family fun.
"Oktoberfest is a fun filled event that we wanted to do in the Fall,” said Jenni Bear, an Oktoberfest Co-Chair. “Most of our fun festivals, city festivals happen in the Summer time and we thought this would be kind of a good way to, A. celebrate fall, celebrate some German heritage, have fun for the entire family."
Oktoberfest goes on until midnight Friday, and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday.
