WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Sunday's rainy weather didn't put a damper on the 15th annual Fall Harvest Festival at the Cedar Valley Arboretum.

Participants were able to enjoy live music, children's activities, and a scarecrow contest.

The festival is one of the main fundraiser's for the arboretum, with proceeds going towards maintenance and educational programming for kids.

"It's just a wonderful time for people to get together and I think that's a every year we see more and more people coming to the festival and it's a great support for the arboretum," said Robert Pruitt, executive director.

The arboretum features free admission to 35 acres of gardens and green space and welcomes more than 15 thousand visitors a year.
