National Cattle Congress Fair brings in large crowds

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Weather kept crowds down a bit Sunday but overall, organizers say this year's National Cattle Congress Fair was a success.

Along with the food, the rodeo, concerts and rides, The Gondola Wheel was a big attraction.  The giant Ferris wheel was a new and popular attraction this year.  Jim Koch, the Facilities Manager of the National Cattle Congress Fair, said this year was a hit for the crowd.

"I think we're probably a little above years past," said Koch.

Koch said he and organizers haven't calculated the number of people in attendance to the Fair yet but he thought this year's numbers were the most he has seen a many years.

Planning for next year's Fair will begin soon.
