WATERLOO (KWWL) -

City Wide Mission, a group of Waterloo churches, donated $1,200 to be split between four elementary schools on Saturday.
The group designated a $300 check to family support workers from Cunningham, Lincoln, Highland and Irving elementary schools.
The family support workers will be able to use the money where they deem necessary at their schools.
"Our youth has been a priority for us because we are a group of service. We know that the youth are our future, and this is why we decided to designate this particular fundraiser to the youth," said president of City Wide Mission Bernice Richard.
This year marked the first year where instead of donating material items like clothes or school supplies, City Wide Mission donated money.
