Undefeated North Fayette Valley poured it on early Friday night en route to a 38-3 victory over Denver in Class 1A District 4 action in Denver.
The Cyclones became the first team to score on North Fayette Valley this season, when Brayden Neuendorf kicked a 32-yard first-quarter field goal to put Denver ahead, 3-0.
But Bob Lape's Tiger Hawks took control on the running of Josh Mackey and Derrick Kuehner, and the passing of quarterback Trevor Hurd.
Mackey pounded the Cyclone defense for two first-half touchdowns.
Trevor Hurd passed only twice in the first half, but both were long completions and one was a 26-yard touchdown pass to Phil Kleve.
Derrick Kuehner had the touchdown run of the night, as he broke several tackles and slashed his way to a spectacular 57-yard touchdown run.
North Fayette Valley led 32-3 at half and went on to win, 38-3, to remain undefeated.
Denver has lost three in a row now, and plays host to undefeated South Winneshiek Calmar next Friday night in Denver.
North Fayette also has a huge Class 1A District 4 battle, playing host to undefeated Saint Ansgar in West Union.
