Wapsie Valley blanks East Buchanan 70-0

Second-ranked Wapsie Valley hosted East Buchanan Friday night, and the Warriors got off to a fast start.

After returning the East Buchanan punt 34 yards, Ethan Kleitsch would find the end zone on the first Wapsie Valley play for a 7-0 lead.

Next Warrior possession, Ryan Miller found daylight on the keeper for a 22-yard score and a 14-0 lead.

Kleitsch would find the end zone again, but this time on defense. He picked up the East Buchanan fumble to give Wapsie Valley a 21-0 lead.

Wapsie Valley would score every time they touched the ball in the first quarter.

Stone Kane's 55-yard rumbling score would be the highlight of the night, as he broke 3 tackles on the way to the end zone. A two point conversion gave the Warriors a 29-0 lead.

The defense would find pay dirt again. Derek Trotter with the pick-6 for the Warriors. Wapsie Valley would lead 36-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Wapsie Valley would roll on for the easy victory…70-0.
