Waverly man dead following Waterloo motorcycle accident

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

A Waverly man is dead following a motorcycle accident in Waterloo Friday morning.

Captain Tim Pillack says officers were called to Rainbow Drive and Hackett Road at around 1:52 a.m. Friday for a report of a motorcycle hitting a utility pole.

When officers arrived, they found a 33-year-old Waverly man dead. His name has not been released pending notification of family.

According to Pillack, witnesses told officers that the motorcycle was heading west on Rainbow Drive at a high rate of speed when it hit the pole.
