The 2013 National Cattle Congress Fair begins Thursday, Sept. 12 in Waterloo at the Congress grounds.

This is the 103rd year for the Fair, which brings more than 200 exhibitors to the event.

More than 600 livestock exhibitors and 35 food vendors are also part of the fair. People can find everything from salt water taffy to fried Jell-O. Thirty-three carnival rides will help entertain alongside food vendors.

Bruno Blaszaks with the Royal Bengal Tiger Show brought eight female tigers this year. He said fairgoers can learn about tiger education during the show and also catch some tricks from the cats.

The Amvet Noodle Nook started brewing its signature broth Thursday morning preparing for the crowds. Johnny Mrzlak with the Noodle Nook said he's been a part of the NCC Fair for 35 years... but you won't catch him giving away his secret recipe!
