Governor Branstad orders flags to half-staff for 9/11

DES MOINES (KWWL) -

Governor Terry Branstad has ordered that all flags in the state be flown at half-staff on Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in honor of those who lost their lives in the 2001 terror attacks.

Flags on all public buildings, grounds and facilities throughout the state will be flown at half-staff. Individuals, businesses, schools, cities and counties are encouraged to do the same.
