DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Eagle Point Software announced this week it will be moving into the Star Brewery building in the Port of Dubuque. The company will be occupying the space left vacant when Star Restaurant closed suddenly in February.

Eagle Point Software's marketing project manager Anna Heil said the company will make the move in mid-October and employees are excited about the historic space and beautiful views of the Mississippi River.

Heil said the company has been working with Epic Construction to maintain the historic aspects of the space, including the old Star Brewery brew tank, while making it ready to accommodate the company's needs.

Eagle Point Software started in Dubuque in 1983 and is currently based in the city's west end. It employs nearly 30 people, most of whom are based out of Dubuque. It specializes in software solutions for architects, engineers and other such industries.
