UNI Volleyball takes 11th ranked Iowa State to Five Sets before falling

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

The young Northern Iowa Panthers pushed eleventh ranked Iowa State to five sets before falling 3-2 (15-9).  Iowa State looked like it was going to run away with the match --winning the opening two sets 25-13, 25-20 without trailing during any point in the sets.

But after intermission, in front of crowd of 6621, the Panthers stormed out to win sets three and four 25-21.  However Iowa State regrouped to take the fifth set.  Iowa State (4-0) was led by Ciara Capeizio with 22 kills, All-American Victoria Hurtt finished with 17.  The Panthers(1-3) were led Shelby Kintzel and Eryca Hingtgen with 14 kills a piece.
