Interstate crash leaves one injured in Johnson County

Posted: Updated:
JOHNSON COUNTY (KWWL) - One person was injured following a crash Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 380 in Johnson County.

The Iowa State Patrol says a pick-up truck pulling a trailer driven by Porras Diaz of Columbus Junction was attempting to make an illegal u-turn in the crossover, causing another car, driven by Spencer Tu of Cedar Rapids, to stop abruptly.

Troopers say that caused a third car, driven by Raymond Albert of Aurelia, to crash into the back Tu's vehicle.

Tu was taken to the hospital, but there is no word of his condition.

The Iowa State Patrol says charges are pending.
