Posted: Updated:
IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

The heat kept emergency crews busy in and around Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City for Saturday's Hawkeye football game.

The university's public safety department says it responded to 48 medical calls and the Kinnick first aid station saw about 100 patients.

As far as arrests, 28 people were cited for open container violations while 11 people were ticketed for underage drinking.

Another dozen or so were arrested for public intoxication.

Iowa City Police say their number of arrests were consistent with a football Saturday.
