UNI upsets Iowa State 28-20

Despite a strong offensive showing in the second half, Iowa State fell to the UNI Panthers 28-20 Saturday night.

The Cyclones put 7 on the board early in the first quarter, but the Panthers answered minutes after, tying the game. Then, just five seconds into the second quarter, the Panthers scored another touchdown. With 3:35 left in the half,  James White pulled down a long pass for ISU while in the end zone under coverage. UNI led 21-14 going into the half.

ISU had several strong drives in the second half, but the Panthers halted them in the red zone each time, forcing them to a series of field goals.

ISU trailed UNI 21-20 heading into the fourth quarter.

Midway through the fourth quarter, David Johnson pulled down a short pass for UNI, and juked into the endzone. The Panthers held onto this lead, and ended the game 28-20 over Iowa State.
