IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Northern Illinois will be without its top returning tailback when the Huskies open the season this Saturday against the Iowa Hawkeyes at Kinnick Stadium.

Northern Illinois senior tailback Akeem Daniels who rushed for 447 yards last season--- is most likely out after missing camp with a foot injury.

Last year the Hawkeyes  barely survived with an 18-17 win over the Huskies at Solider Field-- handing Northern Illinois its only regular season defeat --

Northern Illinois does return quarterback Jordan Lynch -- who ran for 119 yards including a 71 yard touchdown against the Hawks --

New  Iowa quarterback Jake Rudock remembers watching that game from the sidelines---watching a tenacious Husky defense which sack James Vandenberg six times in that game --
