WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Two people were injured early Tuesday morning following a pit bull attack, according to Waterloo police.

A woman and a teenage boy were both taken to Allen Hospital.

The original call came in around 7:00 Tuesday morning for the teen boy who had been attacked by the three dogs while walking to school.

By the time police arrived to the 800 block of Riehl Street, a woman had been attacked as well.

Witnesses say the dogs jumped on the woman, and while she tried to push them off they proceeded to attack her.

Both victims have been hospitalized, but the extent of their injuries are unknown. Waterloo police shot and killed one of the dogs on scene. Waterloo's animal control contained the dogs.
