TOLEDO (KWWL) -

A July 29th inspection of the Iowa Juvenile Home left the state-run facility with multiple violations, but none of which carry penalty or fines.

According to a report by the Iowa Public Health Department Division of Behavior Health, violations include non-compliance for “the appropriate clinical oversight provided in house or through consultation.” This violation of oversight includes “assisting in development of clinical policies and procedure… assisting in training and staff; and… assistance to clinical staff providing direct services.”

Other violations include client/patient case record content: management information system, an overall assessment of the information gathered during the admission process, assessments in treatment plans as well as client/patient and counselor reviews for this care, placement screening and continued service reviews, and the annual evaluations of quality improvement.

According to the Des Moines Register, The Iowa Board of Health’s Substance Abuse and Problem Gambling Program Licensure Committee is requiring the home to submit a corrective action plan by Sept. 20.
