Iowa City man killed in Highway 6 accident

IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

An Iowa City man was killed Saturday night after being hit by a vehicle while trying to cross Highway 6.

Sergeant Vicki Lalla says 52-year-old Gregory Bowker was crossing Highway 6 between Sturgis Corner Drive and the river bridge at around 9:04 p.m. Saturday.

Lalla says the vehicle, driven by 28-year-old Judith Miller of Kalona, was headed west on Highway 6 when the accident happened.

Bowker was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics where he died.

The crash remains under investigation.
