BLACK HAWK COUNTY (KWWL) -

A 2-vehicle crash at a rural intersection in Black Hawk County killed a Waterloo man Saturday.  The Iowa State Patrol says 57-year-old Larry Spiegel died after his car was broadsided by a car driven by 24-year-old Joshua Peter of Gladbrook at the intersection of Gibson and Eagle Roads just before 1 p.m. Saturday.  Troopers say Peter was headed north on Gibson Rd. and failed to yield the right-of-way to Spiegel, who was headed west on Eagle Rd.  Spiegel's car went into a ditch and overturned.  Peter received minor injuries.   He's been cited for failure to yield.
