WATERLOO (KWWL) -

A Waterloo man was arrested Wednesday morning after officers say they found methamphetamine during a traffic stop.

Officers stopped Geoffrey Scott Gaffney, 45, for speeding on Franklin Street at around 12:25 a.m. Wednesday.

Capt. Tim Pillack said officers then discovered a large amount of meth during the stop. They did not say exactly how much was found.

Gaffney is charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and a drug tax stamp violation.

He was taken to the Black Hawk County Jail and is being held on $105,000 bond.
