Cedar Rapids Titans announce big move

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

The Cedar Rapids Titans will be playing football in the brand new U.S. Cellular Center next season....
That announcement coming during a press conference Thursday.
The indoor football team had previously called the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena home.
The new venue seats an additional 15 hundred fans and team leaders think the fans, players, and surrounding community will benefit from the move.

Chris Kokalis, Titans Co-Owner/General Manager said, "We really want to embrace being part of economic development in the downtown district.  I think we've got a lot to offer our season ticket holders, our fans, our sponsors, and I'm looking forward to many more years of exciting indoor football league action in this building."

The team finished with a 9-5 record in 2013 making it to the United Conference Championship game. The Titans kick off the 2014 season in February.
