Healthy Barkley Hill ready to battle for playing time with Hawkeyes

Posted: Updated:
IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Almost year to the day after a knee injury canceled his freshman season at Iowa, former Cedar Falls star Barkley Hill is healthy and looking to battle for playing time in a crowded Hawkeye backfield.

Hill missed most of spring football while rehabbing from the injury he suffered last August. Hill is not listed on the most recent depth chart at tailback, but the redshirt freshman is still in the conversation. Iowa Head Coach Kirk Ferentz said he is curious to see what Hill can do in the coming weeks on the practice field.
