CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

The Cedar Rapids Police and Fire Departments are looking into what caused an explosion at a manufactured home on Bowling Street SW Monday afternoon.

Greg Buelow, Public Information Officer for the Cedar Rapids Fire Department, says crews were called to 4420 Bowling Street SW, Lot E3, at around 2:32 p.m. Monday for a reported explosion.

When firefighters arrived, they found the back wall of the home had been blown out from what appeared to be an explosion.

Buelow says a 30-year-old woman and a seven-year-old girl were found inside and told the firefighters that they were inside when the explosion and fire happened. They were taken to St. Luke's Hospital and are expected to survive.

A 34-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy had been inside the home when the explosion happened, but were found outside a short time later. They were treated on the scene.

Buelow says firefighters found a fire in the master bathroom and quickly put it out.

Police and fire investigators continue to look for the cause and origin of the explosion and fire.
