Two people dead, three injured in Johnson County crash

JOHNSON COUNTY (KWWL) -

Two people are dead and three others are injured after a hit-and-run accident in Johnson County.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, August 10th at Highway 6 and Jasper Avenue, East of Tiffin.

The Iowa State Patrol reports a pickup truck ran a stop sign and struck another vehicle on its driver's side.

The driver of the truck left the scene.

The driver of the vehicle that got hit, 48-year-old Troy Liddell, and one passenger, 50-year-old Kellie Liddell, died at the scene. Both are from North Liberty.

Three other passengers were injured. They are 50-year-old Todd Liddell and 48-year-old Martha Liddell of North Liberty, as well as 31-year-old Juan Castillo Moreno of Iowa City.
