2 arrested for kidnapping, sexually abusing 13-year-old

The caretaker of a 13-year-old girl and a Guatemala man were arrested after allegations of kidnapping and sexually abusing the girl for more than two months.

The ongoing investigation also uncovered several more sexual abuse cases, where charges are pending.

Rodrigo Estrada and Holly Yonkovic were arrested after a joint investigation with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Human Services and the Ossian/Calmar Police Department.

Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) also became involved when Estrada’s fingerprints revealed that he was not Ramon Perez -- the man he claimed to be. Sheriff Marty Fisher says Estrada’s identity is still questionable.

Authorities question if the name Estrada is also a fake identity. The name was given to Wisconsin authorities for a previous arrest.

Estrada and Yonkovic were arrested after authorities found them hiding in a Strawberry Point motel on Saturday morning.

Estrada faces a charge for kidnapping in the first degree, felony possession of false documents and forgery.

Holly Yonkovic, 35, of Ossian, is the caretaker of the 13-year-old kidnap victim. She is charged with child endangerment.

The Fayette County Sheriff says that this investigation also uncovered four more sexual abuse juvenile victims and more charges in each jurisdiction will be filed upon completion of the investigation.

Immigration will determine if Estrada will be deported, but he is currently held in the Fayette County Jail. If he is released by the justice system, ICE will put a hold on him.
