CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

An Eastern Iowa child is at the happiest place on earth thanks to Make-A-Wish. Ledger Dalton had his stuffed Mickey Mouse in hand and was all set to leave the Eastern Iowa Airport Monday morning to head to Walt Disney World.

Ledger's a big sports fan. He just started t-ball this year. To send him off, the Cedar Rapids Kernels and mascot Mr. Shucks came to the airport.

"We're excited that he's been able to do something like this after all he's gone through and we're excited to share it with him and see what, all the things that he gets to do," said Tina Dalton, Ledger's mom.

The five-year-old was diagnosed with a form of leukemia in 2010. He just finished chemotherapy a month ago.
