People in Waterloo celebrate ObamaCare and President's birthday

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Supporters of the Affordable Health Care Act, also known as ObamaCare, gathered in Waterloo Sunday evening to celebrate the law and the President's birthday.

Sunday was President Obama's 52nd birthday and a group of supporters used the occasion to tout the President's signature piece of legislation.

They say there are a lot of misconceptions about the law and they want to set the record straight.

"Some of us don't get insurance we need to find a way that is affordable to do that," said Paul Uzel, a member of the Organizing for Action group.  "There are people that are out there in the (healthcare) market place own their own who would not qualify."

Group members want to hold similar meetings once a month.
