Returning 2A state champions Dyersville Beckman took to the field Saturday going against a familiar opponent.
They took on North Polk Comets lost to the Beckman Blazers last year in the finals and the Comets were looking for revenge.
In the top of the first, Reed Smith hit a double to left field for the Comets
Smith would later score on this fielders choice on a grounder to short, 1-0 North Polk.

In the bottom of the seventh, with a man on first Conner Klostermann hit a infield single up the middle.
After a bunt and an intentional walk, the bases are loaded with one out for Nathan Digmann.
The number nine hitter with a great at-bat, fouled off a couple of pitches to stay alive and drew the game-tying walk.
Then four pitches later, Mitch Stager draws the walk-off, walk to score the winning run.
Beckman is your 2A state champion.
"It's an unbelievable feeling, I mean that's the only way I can describe it. It's a great feeling it's the ultimate goal of playing baseball, when your a little kid, that's what you want, you want to win, you got to win the state championship and senior year this is great. Nothing better." Said Senior Nathan Digmann.
That makes back to back state titles for Beckman. Starting pitcher Joey Lehmann pitched 7 flawless innings giving up just three hits, it makes an undefeated varsity career for Lehman.
Lehmann finished the game with nine strikeouts did not lose a decision in his two years of varsity pitching
