Adkins was sentenced to 21 years and 10 months in prison and fined $10,000. He must also serve 10 years on supervised release once he gets out of prison and must register as a sex offender.

The case was investigated by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office, the Waterloo Police Department, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Pensacola (Florida) Police Department.
