Pink Ribbon Classic supports cancer treatment and research

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Waterloo's Sunnyside Country Club was home to the 15th Annual Pink Ribbon Golf Classic July 30, hosted by the American Cancer Society.

The 4-person best shot tournament gave people the chance to donate to local breast cancer treatment and research.

Around 250 golfers participated and nearly $37,000 was raised throughout the day.

Different promotions were set up around the course, including the "men's advantage hole," where men could tee off from the women's tee as long as they donated $5 and adorned a bra.

That same evening, ACS hosted a "Par-Tee" at the country club with live music and refreshments.
