Wisconsin man accused of taking nude photos of Dubuque girls

A Wisconsin man is facing charges after being accused of taking nude photos of girls in the Dubuque area.

Lieutenant Scott Baxter says Randall Paul Trenary, 47, of Hazel Green, Wis., was arrested in Dubuque on Monday and charged with sexual exploitation of minors.

Baxter says the Dubuque Police Department received information on July 23 that Trenary was taking nude photos of girls and sharing nude photos with them.

Baxter says his department was also told that Trenary was a convicted sex offender.

During the investigation, several girls confirmed that they took part in photo sessions with Trenary over several months.

The girls told investigators that Trenary would often ask them to send him nude pictures of themselves via cell phone.

Baxter says Trenary made initial contact with most of the females using two Facebook pages: Buddy Rand Trenary or Trenary Photography LLC.

He says Trenary allegedly promised the girls modeling careers and bought them clothing, gift cards and cell phones.

Baxter says they obtained evidence that supported the girls' stories with the help of the Grant County Sheriff's Office and Hazel Green Police Department.

Sexual exploitation of minors is a Class C Felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine between $1,000 and $10,000.

Trenary is being held in the Dubuque County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.

Anyone with information pertaining to Trenary is asked to contact Corporal Brendan Welsh at 563-589-4430 or Captain Scott Engleman at 563-589-4467.
