LA PORTE CITY (KWWL) -

The people who helped clean up the Cedar River got together to celebrate a job well done.

The 26th annual Cedar River Festival was held at Hickory Hills Park in La Porte City on Sunday.

It featured live music, kid's activities, and homemade clothes and jewelry.

Organizers say it is great to celebrate the river cleanup and community bonding.

"We tried to kind of make a fair out of it too, bring the kids, you know a family thing, everybody get together and have fun."  Said Raldo Schneider the co-founder of the festival.  "Hopefully on the river or near the river stuff like that. It worked out pretty good. "
