UNI's Kalin named Missouri Valley Woman of the Year

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

UNI Women's basketball star Jacqui Kalin has been named the Missouri Valley Conference  2013 NCAA Woman of the year.

Kalin was one of 140 NCAA female student-athletes representing multiple sports to be selected as a 2013 woman of the year honoree by their respective conferences. She is now eligible to selected as the top  honorees in NCAA division one.

Kalin graduated with her undergraduate degree in Sport Psychology in 2010, posting a 4.0 gpa each year. She then went on to receive her masters in Kinesiology and Sport Psychology.

    Freshman Lindell Wigginton scored 15 of his 20 points in the second half and Iowa State blew past Northern Iowa 76-65 on Saturday for its eighth straight win. Nick Weiler-Babb had 15 with nine rebounds for the Cyclones (8-2), who used a 12-0 run midway through the second half to put the Panthers (8-3) in a hole too deep to climb out of.
