Waterloo man charged with sexual abuse in Johnson County

JOHNSON COUNTY (KWWL) -

Iowa City Police are accusing a Waterloo man of sexually assaulting a woman while she was incapacitated.

In a criminal complaint, police say the victim told them that Brylan Alexander, 34, of Waterloo, sexually assaulted her for more than a year.

The victim told authorities the incidents occurred while she was helpless due to a medical condition in 2007.

She also said she was tired of running from Alexander. The victim said she now lives in Johnson County and Alexander showed up at her daughter's school unannounced.

According the the criminal complaint, there is a recorded phone conversation where Alexander admits to the assault.

Alexander is charged with sexual abuse.
