Class 5A-- 7th ranked Dubuque Senior looking to get by number six Dowling Catholic.

Senior would get on the scoreboard first, AJ Medinger with a shallow fly to left but it's deep enough to score Katie Sommer 1 to 0 Rams in the first.

But the second was a nightmare Dowling's Aubrie Crivaro drives a base hit in to center two runs score 2, 1 Dowling.

Claudia Farrell hammers a shot deep and gone to left, Maroons got 8 in the inning all with 2 outs.

They go on to win 12 to 4.

Cedar Rapids Prairie meeting up with top seeded Ankeny.

And the Hawkettes got that top seed by making plays like this, Ashlie Chambers with the diving stop gets the out at second to end the top of the second.

At the bottom of the second Kendyl Lindaman jacks a 2-run shot Prairie goes down hard falling 8 to 1.

In the late game Cedar Rapids Jefferson looking to get eastern Iowa a win against Ottumwa.

Alyssa Olson solid on the mound early gets Sam Garrett swinging to get the J-Hawks out of the top of the first.

Mandi Moore countered for Ottumwa striking out Amber Grimm no score through two.

Ottumwa changed that in the third, Alexis Wynn with the base hit scoring Katie Sammons. Ottumwa beats Jefferson 2-0.
