NTSB releases details on fatal plane crash in Clutier

Posted: Updated:
CLUTIER (KWWL) -

The National Transportation and Safety Board reported this week that a fatal plane crash that killed a pilot Nov. 28 in Clutier was likely caused by power lines.

William Konicek, 69, was piloting the plane at the time, and was killed in the crash.

A passenger was on board the flight at the time as well and sustained injuries.

Officials say Konicek had flown to Clutier on previous occasions.

The NTSB does say it can't be determined whether the pilot was aware of the recently-installed power lines while making a reported attempt to land the plane.
