Grassley pushes for reform with military sexual assault policies

Posted: Updated:
WATERLOO (KWWL) -

U.S. Sen. Charles Grassley is pushing a law to deal with military sexual assault and sexual harassment.

It's called the Military Justice Improvement Act. The law would reform the military justice system by allowing military prosecutors to decide if a case should be tried in court rather than the chain of command.

Grassley has been working with a Democrat from New York to sponsor the bill.
