CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

The man who allegedly kidnapped his own daughter leading to an AMBER Alert Friday evening was arrested Sunday. Benton County officials confirm the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation arrested Sean Shannon just before 11:30 a.m. in Cedar Rapids. He's been charged with 3rd Degree Kidnapping and is currently in Benton County Jail.

Authorities say Shannon abducted his 11-year-old daughter Kiley from her Shellsburg home Thursday night. They say he also assaulted Kiley's half-brother, who is not related to Shannon. Friday evening an AMBER alert was issued to find Kiley. Less than an hour later Kiley was found in Cedar Rapids. She's currently at home with no injuries.
