50th Anniversary Music on the March Attracts Hundreds

Posted: Updated:

Many music lovers made their way to Dubuque Senior High School Friday evening to enjoy the 50th anniversary of Music on the March. The event showcased different drum and bugle corps from around the United States. This year, 8 different corps competed on the new Dalzell field. The Dubuque Colts Drum and Bugle Corps were one of those eight corps.

Greg Orwoll is director of the Dubuque Colts Drum and Bugle Corps. He says all corps that participated in Music on the March have been practicing tirelessly for the competition.

"The kids already have put in several hundred hours in every group that is here. They are trying to make it perfect and work on their show and make it as exciting and perfect as they possibly can." Orwoll said.

After the performance Friday night, the Dubuque Colts Drum and Bugle Corps will make their way to Minneapolis to compete in their first regional competition of the season.
