Pork prices may increase

Posted: Updated:
WATERLOO (KWWL) -

In the next few months you may have to spend a little more money at the grocery store when it comes to buying pork.

That's because of a new virus that has killed piglets in 15 states including Iowa.

Experts say the disease is not harmful to people and there is no evidence to suggest it affects pork products.

The virus was first discovered in the U.S. in April.
