Gable comes home to continue his Olympic Fight

The legendary  Dan Gable has accomplished more in the sport of wrestling than any human being alive-- but his biggest battle continues--and that is to get the sport of wrestling in the 2020 Olympics.

Tonight at the Scheels Store in Cedar Falls dozens of fans waited in line to see the 1972 Olympic Gold Medalist and former Hawkeye Wrestling coach.
He signed autographs and posed for pictures with fans.
Gable is using any platform available to raise awareness  in an effort to get wrestling back into the Olympics.

Gable said, "There's a cause out there and that is to keep wrestling in the Olympics, the more visible I am I think the better because I am one of the guys who is really working hard to keep wrestling in the Olympics and it should have never happened but it did. "

Earlier this year the IOC removed wrestling from the Olympics but Gable and others are pushing to get the sport back in. The final decision will be made in September.
